Dear Blog,

Last week I officially started my 20% time project which is simply spending 20% of the class time working on something you're passionate about. It "inspires drive and creativity in the classroom," and is the exact reason why I was scared of this project. Research a topic that I would enjoy? These instructions are way too vague- too creative. I'm a person of structure, rules, guidelines, so when this project said hello I immediately responded goodbye. Now, as I actually beginning to start this momentous journey, it doesn't seem as intimidating. I chose to research golf- the fastest and most daring sport I can think of- because it looks fun. I don't like watching it, but golf seems like a life long sport that I could play with my senior citizen friends when I get old. In the end, I want to be able to play a whole round of golf without cheating*. So far I have explored my resources, and throughout next week I am going to watch videos and read articles about the golfing techniques. Hole-in-one here I come.

*Cheating: using my hand to pick up the ball and place it in the hole
